The Monto Presents: My Little Austrian Friend

My Little Austrian Friend are a London Based acoustic duo who fuse catchy melodies with sophisticated lyrics wrapped up in an acoustic style. Izi and Lewis met whilst studying a music degree and played in various bands together before forming My Little Austrian Friend in 2010. Throughout knowing each-other they realised that they shared the same love for music and warped sense of humor producing …a match made in……London. Starting out at open mic nights they crafted their unique style of writing and performing both their own material and covers. Currently performing in various venues throughout London and further afield My Little Austrian Friend are beginning to draw attention to themselves. Its not difficult to see that these two are set apart from many of the performing acts of the here and now. Bringing new inspiration to the table, they are truly an act to be followed.

Humoro Klubas | Comedy Club

Lithuanian comedian group called “Humoro klubas” will be running a UK comedy tour from the 13th till the 20th of May.

The group consisting of three comedians, Justinas Jankavicius, Martynas Katleris and Paulius Ambrazevicius, named their tour “What na? “Humoro Klubas” Jūkei?”. After the launch of the tour in Edinburgh, the comedians will also visit Aberdeen, Newcastle, Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol and will finish in London.

One of the comedians Justas Jankavicius said: “We have already made whole of Lithuania laugh. Now, after touring throughout all the country, we’ve decided to try it abroad.
Since, Lithuanian is the only language we’re fluent enough, we thought we’ll visit our brothers and sisters Lithuanians in the UK.”

This tour will be the first international experience for the guys, but all of them are really looking forward to it.

Comedian Paulius Ambrazevicius said: “I’ve always wanted to go on tour some place else rather than Lithuania. I think UK will be good start for us, giving the fact that there are so many Lithuanians.”

The “Humoro Klubas” got together in 2008 and became popular after performing on local TV shown in Lithuania in 2009. Other then their TV performances, the guys also perform live often. In the past, they’ve already had more than 70 live shows in various cities in Lithuania.

CTRL London Presents: Two Door Cinema Club + Kowalski DJ Set

We are very excited to now be holding the gig in The Shoreditch – and to celebrate we are doing a burst of tickets at only £6! These tickets will be extremely limited and you would need to purchase them ASAP.

CTRL are proud to present DJ sets from Kev Baird of indie moguls Two Door Cinema Club, and Paddy Baird from one of Ireland’s hottest bands, Kowalski.

The night kicks off at 8pm with masters of the dancefloor, the CTRL DJ’s. Then we have an electro masterclass from Paddy Baird, and finally a set to end all sets from Kev Baird of TDCC.

We will have very few tickets on the door (priced at £8), and those of you who don’t buy tickets in advance unfortunately may not gain entry due to the high velocity of enquiries we have been receiving.

If you are planning on paying on the door we would advise you to be there around 8pm – we unfortunately won’t be able to give entry to non-ticket holders after 10pm.

Balearic Yacht Rocky

Resident DJs The Have Yachts and house band Shake Tiger Shake present the third instalment of Balearic Yacht Rock.

Alongside a live set from Shake Tiger Shake, The Have Yachts will be spinning the smoothest Yacht Rock known to man (Steely Dan, Doobies, Eagles, Hall and Oates, Prince, Michael McDonald, Foreigner and more).

This month’s extravaganza features guest DJ spots from Steve Lee (AOR Disco), Andy Pye (Balearic Social) and Mark Limb (Electric Social).
